He was also conducive in reviving another canceled show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and has written and will star in an upcoming documentary series called Jeremy Clarkson: I Bought the Farm.

Louis Tomlinson – $70 Million

Being a part of Britain's most successful boy band has set Louis Tomlinson up nicely in the net worth department. Yet, like some of his bandmates, the former member of One Direction has not rested on his laurels, making moves into a solo career.

Funny story, though, Tomlinson actually started his career as an actor, making an appearance as an extra in If I Had You and also have a role in Waterloo Road. In January 2020, he released his debut album titled Walls. His $70 million net worth meant he could sign for soccer team Doncaster Rovers as an unpaid, non-contract player.

Harry Styles – $80 Million

Harry Styles is widely regarded as the most popular One Direction member, although some Zayn Malik fans may argue differently. Be that as it may, the 27-year-old's net worth was mostly made while being the popular guy in the biggest selling modern boy band.

Styles was also the first member to transition as a soloist after the band announced its indefinite hiatus, releasing his self-titled album in 2017. The album was one of the ten best-selling of the year, and that same year, he made his acting debut in Dunkirk. He has an upcoming role in a film called Don't Worry Darling, directed by his girlfriend, Olivia Wilde.

Liam Payne – $70 Million

Even to the lesser-known One Direction members (not that there were any lesser members), the group still proved to be a massive cash cow. Take Liam Payne, for instance. He wasn't as popular as Zayn Malik or Harry Styles, but he still made a fine bit of money and currently has a net worth of $70 million.

Payne has still kept busy despite the group being on hiatus, signing a contract with Republic Records. In 2017, he released his debut album titled Strip That Down, which was certified platinum in both the UK and the US. He is also a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Niall Horan - $70 Million

Seeing as we're talking about all these One Direction members, did you know that all the members auditioned as individuals on X-Factor? They were brought together to form the group, and although they didn't win the show, they still went on to gain unprecedented success.

Niall Horan is another person who benefitted from that success and currently has a solid net worth of $70 million. He released his debut album in 2017, and it debuted at number one in Ireland and America. It also peaked at number three in Australia and the UK. In 2020, Horan released his second album title Heartbreak Weather.

Ricky Gervais – $140 Million

Ricky Gervais started out wanting a career in music, but it turned out he was bad at that but really good at telling jokes. This was when he and fellow writer Stephen Merchant decided to write the cult classic mockumentary drama sitcom The Office.

Since then, he has come a long way because he now has $140 million in the bank and a glut of awards in his cabinet. These include seven BAFTA's, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmys, and a Golden Globe. He recently finished work on one episode of a series called Ami des lobbies and announced his involvement in a project called Flanimals.

Gordon Ramsay – $220 Million

You may not believe it, but apparently, Gordon Ramsey isn't as bad as he is portrayed in shows like Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. Renowned for his volatile temper and calling people idiot sandwiches, Ramsey is described as a loving and caring husband and father by his wife, Tana.

Of course, she's known him since before the big TV shows and Michelin stars. They've also been through a lot together, most notably Tana's struggles with bearing children. They have five children now, though. He recently featured in Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and returned for another season of Hell's Kitchen.

Jamie Oliver – $300 Million

Jamie Oliver is so good at what he does that he got awarded an MBE by the Queen for his services to the crown. This is mostly down to his Feed Me Better campaign. This was his attempt to get children fed better in schools, which the British government eventually backed.

Of course, that isn't what gave him his $300-million net worth. It was shows like The Naked Chef and, more recently, Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feast that made him all that money. He has also written his fair share of cookbooks, with the most recent one released in 2020 and titled 7 Ways.

Elton John – $500 Million

You have to be someone special to have a biopic made of you while you're still alive. Sir Elton John is pretty special in that regard, with tons of hits that include Nikita, Rocket Man, Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, and Club At The End Of The Street, to name a few.

He was set to go on a retirement tour in 2020 but had a concert canceled because he lost his voice. The 73-year-old musician ended up canceling the rest of his tour that year. But during the lockdown period, he played piano on an Ozzy Osbourne song and released another one called Sine from Above with Lady Gaga.

This is, of course, thanks to her Harry Potter novel series that became a highly successful film franchise, making an amazing $7.73 billion in the box office worldwide. Slavica Ecclestone – $1.2 Billion

Bernie and Slavica Ecclestone were an odd couple from the get-go. Besides the considerable height difference that set them apart, they had a 28-year age difference. Plus, when they met, he spoke only English, and she spoke Serbo-Croatian and Italian, but no English.

Knowing these, it's amazing that their marriage lasted 24 years and garnered two children. Eventually, she filed for divorce in 2009. And while it went quickly and amicably, she still walked away with a hefty payout, which has now given her a net worth of $1.2 billion.

Paul McCartney – $1.24 Billion

As a member of The Beatles, Paul McCartney was always bound to be filthy rich. But when you take a look at his $1.2 billion fortune, it's mostly owed to his skills as a songwriter, with him and John Lennon renowned as the most successful songwriting duo in history.

But McCartney also has a ton of solo material, which also brings millions in royalties and pays for massive world tours. He has also invested cleverly and owns the publishing rights to musicals such as Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line, and Grease. In 2020, Paul released his latest album titled McCartney III.

Desmond used to own other media products, including British TV's Channel 5, which he sold to Viacom in 2014. His other media ventures include a share in the Daily Express newspaper which he also sold. Despite his reputation, Desmond is into philanthropy and started a rock band with The Who's Roger Daltrey to raise funds for charity.

Bernie Ecclestone – $3.3 Billion

Bernie Ecclestone is widely regarded as the man who turned Formula One from a racing sport to one of the world's most-watched sports. This was all thanks to his business acumen and selling the TV rights for the sport.

Since he owned the Formula One Group and Delta Topco, Ecclestone was dubbed the F1 Supremo. In July 2020, an 89-year-old Ecclestone had his fourth child with Vice-President of Marketing for the Brazilian Grand Prix Fabiana Flosi, then at the age of 44. They started dating in 2012 after Ecclestone's divorce from Slavica Ecclestone.

Sir Richard Branson is arguably one of the most celebrated business magnates globally, let alone Britain. His Virgin brand, which includes gyms, a record label, and an airline, among other things, has not only made him rich but also a household name.

It's also given him a substantial net worth of $6 billion, which has allowed him to go beyond being a businessman. He has marketed himself as a philanthropist and adventurer who has taken on some extreme challenges. These include setting the record for the fastest crossing of the English Channel in an amphibious vehicle in 2004. That record has since been broken.

Kate Beckinsale - $20 Million

Actress Kate Beckinsale is most likely best known for her long-standing role in the Underworld film series. But while those were being made between 2003 and 2016, she had notable roles in The Aviator, Van Helsing, Click, and Contraband, among others.

Beckinsale also acted in small dramas like Everybody's Fine and gained critical acclaim for her performance in the 2016 period comedy Love & Friendship. These roles have given her a decent net worth of $20 million, which she is going to grow with upcoming roles in the TV series Guilty Party and two upcoming films called Jolt and El Tonto.

Idris Elba - $30 Million

Idris Elba has become one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood. This is down to his notable performances as Stringer Bell in The Wire, John Luther in the BBC series Luther and Nelson Mandela in the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

Besides acting, he also delved into music as a rapper, singer, and DJ. He has released a four-song EP in 2006 and performed on the intro of Jay-Z's album American Gangster. In 2020, he released a song called Know Yourself, collaborating with producer Jay Robinson. Elba is set to star in the upcoming film The Suicide Squad as Bloodsport, a.k.a. Robert DuBois.

At the time, Edwards was earning up to £469K ($644K) a year. His personal wealth, meanwhile, is estimated to be around $3 million. That said, he's got enough of a nest egg to use for his eventual retirement. In August 2021, Edwards shared that he was starting to consider his future with BBC News At Ten as he marked his 60th birthday.

Tom Daley – $4 Million

Is there anything Tom Daley can't do? The likable British diver performed excellently at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but diving elegantly is by no means his only talent. Daley is also a TV personality and a growingly popular celebrity with a net worth of $4 million.

Very popular on YouTube, Daley makes an estimated $41.4K per year with his channel alone, which is visited by about 23K users every single day. In 2021, Daley was featured in a Vogue magazine article after attending his very first Met Gala. In 2013, he came out as gay.

Jack Laugher - $1 Million

In 2021, the British diver Jack Laugher came back from Tokyo with an Olympic bronze medal. But there's no shortage of gold in Laugher's past: he not only landed a coveted gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games but also at the 2021 FINA Diving World Cup.

Not much is known about Laugher's net worth, but estimates point to $1 million. Some sources, though, claim it can be as low as $100K and as high as $5 million. For his 2021 Olympic bronze medal alone, Laugher received a prize of $15K.
