Almost everyone looks forward to having kids and grandkids, but all in due time. However, life doesn’t always pan out that way, and some people have children earlier than they should. Whoopi Goldberg - Grandma At Age 34
At the age of 62, Whoopi Goldberg has the honor of being called a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Goldberg had her daughter Alexandrea Martin, from her first marriage to Alvin Martin, when she was 18 years old. Alex. in turn, also welcomed her first child, a daughter Amarah Skye when she was just 16 years old, which made Goldberg a grandma at 34.
Alex had two more kids; a son called Mason, and a daughter called Jerzey with her husband, Bernard Dean. That makes Goldberg a grandma of three. Alex’s elder daughter Amarah now has a daughter named Charli Rose Burr-Reynaud, which subsequently makes Alex a grandma and Goldberg a great-grandma.
Kiefer Sutherland - Grandad At Age 39
In 1988, Keifer Sutherland had just delivered a stellar performance in the western film Young Guns. That’s the same year that he welcomed his daughter Sarah with his first wife, Camelia Kath. Camelia also had a daughter called Michelle from her previous marriage to the late singer Terry Kath, who became Sutherland’s stepdaughter.
Michelle has two sons. She made Sutherland a grandpa when she had her first child in 2006 when he was 39. Sutherland explained to Contact Music that he got married to Camelia when he was 19 and that he still has a good relationship with Michelle, who was eight years old at the time.
CeeLo Green - Grandad At Age 35
Most people start considering having kids in their 30s, but when CeeLo Green was 35, he was already a grandpa. Green shared on CNN that it’s a tingly feeling to welcome a young member of the family. Green added that when his grandson turned two, he could already sing bits of his pop hit song Forget You.
Green also shared that his grandkids call him “Poppi.” Sierra, Green’s stepdaughter, gave him his first grandchild in 2010. In 2016, when Green shared a video of a cute little girl on Twitter, we found out that he had another grandchild, a girl called Izzy.

If there’s one thing Jim Carrey’s grandkids can appreciate, it’s his ability to mimic different voices. Carrey must be the best babysitter out there, and his daughter Jane can always rely on her dad to keep her son Jackson Riley Santana preoccupied during family gatherings. Carrey became a grandad in 2010, and now Jackson must be about ten years old.
Carrey shared the great news about the birth of his grandson on Twitter gushing over the boy who weighed in at 7lbs 11oz at birth. Carrey admitted that he was glad that his daughter had a boy because he just isn’t that great with girls.

Out of all the accomplishments Kid Rock has to his name, he considers being a grandparent as one of his most important ones. Robert James Ritchie Jr., Kid Rock’s son, and his girlfriend welcomed a son in 2014. That made Kid Rock a proud grandpa who is no stranger when it comes to fiercely protecting his family.

Cassandra, the daughter he shares with Paula Profit, made him a grandfather in 2015. Sheen described it as a wondrous day when he broke the news about the birth of his granddaughter Luna. From Instagram posts, Sheen and Luna seem to share a very close bond, which includes playing dress-up.

Lucian must be spoilt for choice when it comes to movie night with his grandpa, Nicolas Cage. A source told In Touch that Cage is a hands-on granddad, and we imagine that Lucian must have already watched some of the greatest age-appropriate flicks that Cage has graced like National Treasure. Lucian is the son that Weston Coppola Cage had with his ex-wife Danielle in 2014.
Weston and Danielle welcomed their second child called Sorin in 2016, making Cage a grandad again. The Cage clan expanded once again when Weston and his third wife, Hill Aronian, welcomed identical twin daughters Venice Zohr and Cyress Zara in 2020.
Catherine Zeta-Jones - Grandma At Age 47
Catherine Zeta-Jones became a stepmom when she got hitched to Michael Douglas in 2000. Cameron is the son that Douglas had from his first marriage with Diandra Luker. In 2017, Cameron and his girlfriend Viviane Thibes welcomed their first child together. Their daughter, Lua Izzy, subsequently made Zeta-Jones a step-grandma.

In 2018, they made Snoop a proud grandpa of two through the birth of their daughter, Eleven. Snoop proudly took to his Instagram account on both occasions to announce that their family had expanded.
Soon after Zion’s birth, Snoop proudly shared on Today that he was going to be the gullible type of grandpa. He said that he was willing to let his grandkids get away with everything. Snoop’s second son Cordell expanded the Broadus family tree with the addition of his daughter in 2019.

Reality TV star Nene Leakes has made a profession out of sharing snippets of her personal life with the world. Fans were able to watch her dive right into her role as a “Glam-ma” when her son and his girlfriend had a daughter called Bri’asia. Leakes made the announcement about their latest addition in grand style through a magazine feature.
Leakes explained that she wanted Bryson, her son, to have everything prepared for her granddaughter’s arrival. Leakes spared no expense to get the nursery ready, and once the little girl arrived, she made several cameos on her grandma’s reality show.
Tom Hanks - Grandad At Age 54
A few people can call Tom Hanks family. That includes his wife Rita Wilson, along with their two children. Hanks also has a daughter named Elizabeth and an equally famous son called Colin, who he shares with his first wife, Samantha Lewes. Colin was the one who made Hanks a grandfather in 2011.
Colin told Us Weekly that Hanks and Wilson are your typical grandparents. He joked that they spoil their grandkids rotten and won’t listen to the child’s parents. Colin and his wife, Samantha Bryant, had their second child in 2013. Hanks’ son, Chet, made him a grandpa of three when he had a daughter called Michaiah with Tiffany Miles.

While Brett Favre is known for his prowess on the football field, he is the world’s greatest grandpa at home. Favre’s daughter Brittany helped him gain that title when she gave birth to a baby boy. Brittany was just 21 at the time, which wasn’t much different from Favre, who was 19 when he had Brittany with his wife Deanna in 1989.

Sally Field is the proud mother of three and has five grandkids. Her eldest son Peter Craig is the one who made Field a grandma when he welcomed his daughter Isabel in 1998. Peter then welcomed another daughter with his ex-wife Amy Scattergood, and he had a son with Jennifer DeFrancisco, his second wife.

Chapman is now a great grandpa after his grandson Dakota had a child in 2019. Chapman’s late wife Beth was the one who broke the news through an Instagram post. Sadly, Beth lost the fight to throat cancer later in the year.

Still, one piece of news that melted everyone’s heart was the birth of her granddaughter, Skylar Rose .O’Donnell’s daughter, Chelsea, and her boyfriend welcomed their bundle of joy in December 2018. Ice Cube told him always to be truthful and never to sugarcoat anything. He added that kids trust their parents when they are sure that they can always get the truth from them. Jackson also admitted that his favorite part about parenting was sitting down with his daughter to watch Peppa Pig.

Donny Osmond is arguably one of the most famous members of his family these days. Osmond has moved past his teen idol status and settled right into being a grandfather. The best part is that he has several young ones to keep up with, which is a great way to stay young at heart. Osmond first joined the grandpa club in 2005 through his son Jeremy who had a son called Dylan.

Lauryn Hill, the former Fugees frontwoman, is known for her soulful voice as well as her large family. Hill shares five children with Rohan Marley, a former footballer and son of the legendary reggae musician Bob Marley. Karalynn is the daughter that August and her beau Chance Michael Russell welcomed. Brooks explained to Taste of Country during a 2016 interview that babies have a way of holding families together. Brooks described little Karalynn as the stem that held their entire family together. As their first grandchild, Brooks said that the whole experience was new for them.

James Brolin married Jane Cameron just 12 days after they first met. Their union resulted in two children, Jess and Josh Brolin. These days, Josh Brolin is a successful actor with appearances in films like Deadpool 2 and The Avengers. Off the screen, he is the father of three, and he first gave James the grandad title in 1988.

Pierce Brosnan left his acting days behind, much to our disappointment, but he’s keeping busy these days being a grandad. In 1998, Brosnan was busy working on The World Is Not Enough, fresh from his other Bond flick, Tomorrow Never Dies. That was the time he first became a grandfather; at the age of 44.
The Brosnan family tree grew again in 2015 with the addition of Marley May Cassandra. The little girl was named after Brosnan’s first wife passed away in 1991. She is the daughter of Sean Brosnan and his wife, Danja Banic. Sean is the son Brosnan shared with the late Cassandra Harris.
Martha Stewart - Grandma At Age 69
Well, 69 isn’t exactly young, but in a world where women start having children in their 40s, we consider it a young enough age to become a grandparent. Stewart became a grandma in 2011 when her daughter Alexis, who was 45 at the time, welcomed a daughter through surrogacy.
Alexis explained that her mother wasn’t ready for the grandma label. She said that Martha didn’t like how the “grandma” label sounded and preferred to be called Martha. We are sure that she’s since come around to embracing the label, after all, there’s only one grandchild so far who gets to call her that.
Meryl Streep - Grandma At Age 69
Meryl Streep has graced our screens since the ’70s, and her four children must have inherited the talent because they are all involved in showbiz. Author Karina Longhorn explained that Streep’s personal life is relatively normal despite her stardom, and one of the regular aspects of her life is the fact that she’s a granny.
Streep is also one of the stars we consider young at heart, and time has also been kind to her. She became a grandmother at 69 when her eldest daughter Mamie Gummer and her fiancé Mehar Sethi welcomed their son in 2019. Streep’s other three children are yet to expand the family tree by having kids of their own.
