Are you a sports fan? If so, you’ll love our list of well-timed sports photos. And if not, you’ll love it just as much! After all, you don’t need even to know the game rules to notice that there’s something off about every single pic that made it to our list. And we can guarantee you that these odd photos will make you laugh.

While major athletes look utterly cool about 95% of the time, they have awkward moments, just like everyone. And fortunately for us, there’s no shortage of talented photographers watching their every move on the field, on the running track, and the training ground.

No Pretty Faces In High Diving

It's not easy being a high diver. Like any pro athlete, you have to deal with the immense pressure that comes with competing against the very best. But that's not all! High divers have to show up for work in tight speedos and fully-shaved bodies, which takes confidence on another level.

Also, if you really want to be a proper high diver, you can't really think about how good you're going to look in pictures. While most high-divers do have stunning bodies, they just can't help but look like they're being sucked inside a black hole like Qin Kai of China at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

She's So... Heavy!

Compared to the gigantic football athletes running around on the pitch, male cheerleaders may look more vulnerable. But believe us, it takes a lot of athleticism, strength, and physical prowess to make it into the competitive world of professional cheerleading.

But even when you're good enough to perform complicated dance routines in front of thousands of people, there are some moments you're just left thinking, "Why on Earth did I pick this job?". This jumbled male cheerleader is having one of those moments after misjudging how heavy his cheerleading partner really was. The expression on his face is priceless!

Faces Of Moral Support

Whether you're playing on the pitch or cheering from the sidelines, team sports are all about working together and making good friends. Cheerleading is no exception. Few things will strengthen the bond you and your friends have in the same way that cheerleading does.

But no matter how hard you try to offer unconditional moral support to your friends, there might come a time when you're not going to be 100% on board. The faces of these two cheerleaders captured in this perfectly-timed photo show just that, and we bet their up-in-the-pyramid friends don't even have a clue!

Not The Best Way To Hit On A Cheerleader

It was Thanksgiving Day, and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Melissa Kellerman was just doing her job on the sidelines, as always. But then, a wild Jason Witten inadvertently snuck up on her and tackled her to the ground! The incident baffled the crowd and made immediate rounds on social media.

It's a valuable lesson for all the cheerleaders out there. We know your job is to entertain the crowd, but sometimes, it's best if you also keep an eye on the game... You never know when a football player is coming to get you! It's a good thing Kellerman wasn't hurt and took the collision lightly.

Using the Head

People say that it takes a strong body and an equally strong mind to succeed in the world of sports, and we couldn't agree more. Still, we didn't expect the former Cleveland Browns Spencer Lanning would take the expression 'use your head' this literally!

In a 2014 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lanning's head proved vital to win his team a penalty against a daring Antonio Brown who kicked the punter. The mishap does look dangerous, but both players were fortunately safe following the unhinged clash. Then again, Brown received a well-deserved fine of $8200 after the incident.

A Freaky Mermaid Illusion

Synchronized swimming, also known as artistic swimming, is one of the world's most beautiful sports. It blends athleticism, gymnastics, and dance magnificently, and it's just wonderful to watch. But sometimes, a perfectly-timed photo can (almost) ruin the wonders of the sport.

The impressive routine shown here was overshadowed by the fact that there seems to be a real-life mermaid in this photo! But the truth is that there are actually two ladies in this picture, and not just one freakishly long woman that would probably scare off any kid who sees it.

The Invisible Enemy

The icy-cold neighboring countrie0s of Finland and Norway may love each other dearly (well, not always), but they never get away from a good fight. And what better place for a brawl than the ice hockey rink? In the picture are Finland's Petteri Nokelainen and Norway's Ole Kristian Tellefsen.

But... Where is Tellefsen right now? Has he disappeared completely? No, he's still there; he's just lost his helmet. This athlete makes his opponent look like a ghost-fighting fool by momentarily pretending to be invisible, or headless at the very least! This one-of-a-kind pic is so good it made it to Sports Illustrated's Pictures of the Year.

Showing the Boys How It's Done

A cheerleader doesn't choose to become one just because of the dance routines, the attention, and the miniskirts. Some have a genuine passion for the game and are not afraid to show it whenever they get the chance.

This basketball fan is usually supporting her favorite team from the sidelines, but when she was given an opportunity to dunk... she dunked! But don't be disappointed when we tell you that this looks like one of those stunts by Air Elite Dunkers, with a trampoline providing the big air. They usually do performances like this at half time shows.

Straight Like a Ruler

Humans are flawed and incoherent. That's just our natural condition. But sports such as figure skating take that idea and try to fight it by redefining reality. They wonder what it would look like if humans were not faulty but absolutely perfect.

After years of training, lots of determination, sweat, and tears, this young lady proves that even beings as flawed as humans can look heavenly perfect if they put their minds to it. She looks straighter than a ruler, and she's pulling this seemingly impossible stunt on top of ice blades! Now that's a feat!

The Mechanical Bull Was Way Easier!

Whether it's the American rodeo or the Spanish bullfight, there's no way around it: if you're going to mess with the bull, you better be ready to deal with the horns! These impressive animals can weigh as much as 3,840 pounds, and they're as strong as... well, a bull!

So, if you're brave enough to step onto the ring and face the beast head-on, don't forget to pack some shin guards and say a little prayer before. If you love bullfighting, this picture might make you shiver. If you don't, you probably think this guy is just getting some of his karma for teasing that poor animal.

A Different Kind of Pinocchio

In the old tale, Pinocchio's nose grows whenever he's telling a lie. But in ice hockey, only a timely photographer can do the same. This hilarious sports picture is the result of a snap that hit the bullseye, and we cannot stop laughing!

Playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Ryan Malone is momentarily looking like a different kind of Pinocchio—one whose nose doesn't grow forwards but sideways. To be fair, though, there's no real moral lesson here. This is just a case of good timing and bad luck. Jiminy Cricket would be proud!

A Poolside Catfight!

These two women decided to wear the same outfit to a pool party, and they're not happy about it. Now they're tugging at each other's clothes until one of them decides to go back home and change. Although this would make for a fun catfight, it's nowhere near that.

These ladies are just two talented synchronized swimmers who happen to play for the same team. Their latest dance routine may look a little bit rough around the edges, but we're pretty sure there is a real purpose here. Perhaps a metaphorical exemplification of war and conflict? We're not sure, but we're giving them a 10!

Manchester Derby Rivalry

If you love soccer, you got to love this match: the Manchester Derby, a fixture played between Manchester United and Manchester City. When a rivalry this fierce is on, you know you can expect some extraordinary aggressiveness, as well as some laughable moments.

This picture shows United goalkeeper David de Gea can be seen inadvertently punching rival City captain Vincent Kompany in the face, much to his teammate's shock (or perhaps delight). In the back, former Manchester United defender/current sports commentator Rio Ferdinand is still trying to figure out what's going on.

Impressive Skills, But Please Stop Messing Around!

There's arguably no job more dangerous in the world of sports than riding an ultra-fast motorcycle for a living. Still, some auto sports athletes are so confident they love to show off their other, non-driving-related skills on the track. This rider is probably training to join the circus, considering he's treating his bike like a stage prop.

But once again, this is just another well-timed visual illusion. The athlete is merely trying to stay on his feet, following a dangerous high-speed motorcycle accident. It clearly presents the dangers of Grand Prix motorcycle racing or MotoGP.

Beyond Just Beauty

If you've ever watched a high-school-themed movie, you may think cheerleaders are nothing but gorgeous, popular girls with a mean attitude. But that couldn't be further away from the truth. While cheerleaders in movies rarely make for hardworking, humble, and dedicated protagonists, the real-life ones are, without a doubt, more than just pretty faces.

Cheerleading takes a lot of talent, power of will, and hours of training. So let's give these girls some credit for the incredible job they give game after game. They didn't just get there because they look good; they just happen to be both talented and beautiful!

The Real Achilles' Heel

In Greek mythology, the Achilles' heel is the one-and-only weakness of the great Achilles. The lesson of Achilles' story is well-known: No matter how tough and bright you think you are, watch out because everybody has a weak spot.

When you're a man, your weak spot is usually placed in the middle of your legs... It's actually a pretty safe place for a weak spot to be. But sometimes, men just can't avoid but leave their very own "Achilles' heel" exposed to the outside world's painful threats. And if you're a man, it's impossible not to shiver when you look at this well-timed snap. Ouch.

Enthusiasm Level 999

To make it in the tough world of cheerleading, you need to be 100% committed to the job. But what happens when you break all logic and give a level beyond that to the beautiful sport? Well, we believe this picture says it all.

You can say all you want about these girls, but you cannot say they're not having a blast! They're not only totally focused on their routine, but they're also having lots of fun with it. Just look at the blonde girl in the middle, who's about to pass out from exaggerated happiness and uncontained enthusiasm!

A Good Reminder To Wear Protection

Soccer is huge in South Africa, but we suspect SuperSport United player Thabiso Nkoana is regretting his decision to become a professional player at this very instance. In a game against the Orlando Pirates, he got himself kicked in the sort of place that would hurt like hell!

No amount of rum is ever going to cure this poor man from the hit he just took from Rooi Mahamutsa, who was given a red card after what happened. In the end, he apologized to Nkoana, who we hope has decided to wear a cup for protection since that match.

It's Not As Easy As It Looks

Whether we're watching TV or browsing through our social media, talented athletes always give us the impression that doing sports is simple. That's because they enjoy doing physical exercise so much they make it look effortless... As if doing a toe jump like what's on this photo was as natural as having breakfast or taking a shower.

Only when we try to copy them that we realize how wrong we've always been. No, doing sports is not easy; it just looks like it. If we stretched our legs like that, we'd end up in bed for a month! But for this smiling cheerleader, it's so easy she doesn't even blink.

Lebron All Up In His Nose

The NBA superstar LeBron James is considered one of the best basketball players of all-time, and his abilities on the pitch are so impressive he doesn't even look human! Make no mistake, though: LeBron is just a human being with very human-beingly needs like all of us.

We're not going to lie and say we've never picked our nose in public before! But when we did, we made sure nobody was recording it for a nationwide live transmission. LeBron is so unaccustomed to sitting on the bench that he probably got confused and thought he was just watching the game alone in his house.

The Real Cowboys

Yes, the Dallas Cowboys are one of the NFL's most impressive teams, with five SuperBowl championships, 23 Division championships, and 10 Conference titles to their name. But would they be the same without these talented girls supporting them from the sidelines?

Of course not! Why? Well, just look at them! When you're tired of watching the guys play football, there's nothing like witnessing these talented and athletic beauties do their thing. It's hard to win in sports, but it's even harder to give the crowd what they're looking for, which the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders have done through the years.

Kind of Warm Right Now, Isn't It?

Like most beach-oriented sports, beach volleyball makes for a great watch because of the fit men and women in minimal clothing. However, it isn't always like that. In Islamic countries like Egypt, women are still not entitled to show more than a little bit of skin while in public. This snap from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games shows that evidently.

While the opposing team gets to face the Brazilian heat wearing a comfy sports bikini, the Egyptian Women's Volleyball team faces the warm weather in a full-covering black sports burka. Whether you like it or not, it's a great show of Olympic cultural diversity.

You Gotta Love Halloween!

Props to the Minnesota Vikings for celebrating Halloween day in style! These cheerleaders snubbed their usual cheerleading attire for their favorite Disney princesses, super-heroes, and even Where's Waldo? costumes, and don't you think they look absolutely charming? They have definitely caught our eye!

But as much as we love to see these cheerleaders celebrate Halloween, we can't avoid but think that this would be even funnier with the players. Can you imagine a team of full-grown men battling each other on the field while dressed in wacky outfits? That would make for some quality television.

In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time

Well-timed photos don't always do justice to reality. Some just happen to be snapped in the wrong place and at the wrong time. This girl is probably a very talented cheerleader. But at this very moment, she looks a little bit like an amateur who got her head stuck in the worst possible position.

Is this the end of a complex routine or the beginning of a horrible one? We don't know for sure, but we think it's pretty apparent this picture will not make it to this girl's cheerleading photo album.

Bulls With Wings

The Chicago Bulls are one of the NBA's most popular franchises, especially since the '90s. Back then, they were crushing the competition game after game. And while the legendary Michael Jordan remains the ultimate Chicago Bulls' superstar, every basketball fan in the world also knows about Dennis Rodman, "the Worm."

With fierce defensive and rebounding skills, the former NBA athlete kept the opposing team's attackers in place. In this well-timed photo, he's displaying all of his natural abilities by successfully pulling off a perfect mid-air plank. Nothing was going to prevent Rodman from getting to that ball, not even the laws of physics!

A Well-Timed Classic

While you need to be a bit of a homophobe to find the word 'gay' insulting, it can still make for a funny expression if innocently applied at the exact right moment. This well-timed sports picture makes for a great example of that.

Those two players were celebrating a point a little bit too passionately, and the man with the right jersey name ended up to be close enough to make it to the photo. The result is this inadvertently funny snap that probably made a lucky sports photographer very happy!

Even Yao Ming is Grossed Out

Besides being one of the most recognizable basketball players ever, the former NBA superstar Yao Ming was graced with a 7'6" height that helped him succeed in the game. But can the same be said about his unlucky opponents? Well, just take a look at the picture and decide for yourself!

Ming was so tall that he dwarfed his taller-than-average basketball opponent, to the point of having them licking his armpit. And yes, we wish we were saying that figuratively! This gross image made the rounds all over the web, and while some people claimed it was photoshopped, we think it still makes for an oddly satisfying snap.

Uncontained Happiness

There's nothing better in sports than having that last-minute win and celebrating with the entire team. But sometimes, the level of happiness gets so high that the celebration can be worse than losing the game. And if you think we're exaggerating, just take a look at this messy photo!

The entire team was so happy they decided to build this human blob and praise their champion to death. The last guy coming is so excited he's acting like he's diving into an actual swimming pool! With celebrations like this, it's a wonder the injury toll in the world of sports isn't even bigger than it is.

Hitting the Brakes

Before automobiles were around, horses were the primary method of transportation for humans. And now that these days are gone, horses still make for stunning sports companions in games like polo, vaulting, show jumping, and dressage.

However, the thing about horses is that they don't always come with the minimum safety measures. Sure, they don't run as fast as a car, but they don't include seatbelts, airbags, or an anti-lock braking system (ABS)! So when they decide to stop suddenly, there's nothing a rider can do but violently fly away and wish for the best.

Was It Staged?

Bonafide sports fans will tell you this picture doesn't belong here. After all, wrestling franchises such as the WWE are known for scripting their fights. But let's get away from that controversy to focus on this particular moment in time: the mustache... was it staged?

This hilarious well-timed photo was probably a mishap, even though it's always hard to tell what's an accident and what's not in the WWE universe. But if this was staged, it took a whole other level of precision, professionalism, and training. Anyway, we can't stop laughing about The Miz's hilarious new mustache!

The Royal Referee

Can you imagine it? One day you're assist-refereeing an NBA game, and the next moment you discover you've just been crowned king. It's only natural that the whole thing goes straight up your head and that you start looking around for clues about what just happened.

But so far, this poor referee is clueless. He probably heard someone laughing at him in the crowd and spent a few minutes trying to figure it out. Do you think he will ever realize that Budweiser ad is to blame? Either way, it must feel good to be king, even if just for a couple of minutes.

This Dude's Hard Knock Cheerleading Life

In all-female cheerleading teams, we never know who's going to the bottom. We guess they end up choosing the strongest girl for the job. But in mixed-gender cheerleading teams, we all know it's the guys that go to the bottom of the pyramid, right?

The only problem is that some men are not naturally suited to pick girls up and throw them in the air. Take this poor lad, for instance. He thought being a cheerleader would be all fun, but he forgot to strengthen his core before a routine. The result is this pricelessly painful-looking picture.

Tom Brady Getting Ignored For Once

Football star Tom Brady is famous, rich, and has a gorgeous supermodel wife in Gisele Bündchen. But funny enough, he has a history of being completely ignored by those around him, and an entire Youtube video compiling these ridiculous scenarios even surfaced in 2014.

After his team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers won against New Orleans Saints in January 2021, Brady wanted to high-five the referee and failed miserably. The referee only looked directly in his face and remained stationary. Brady expected the jokes, so he made sure to acknowledge it as soon as he could with a funny tweet the morning after the game.

Say 'Cheese'!

As you probably know by now, it's hard to be a professional cheerleader and not find one or two bad snaps online. Those horrible photographers will always get you in the worst, most embarrassing positions, like when you're in pain or struggling to hold one of your friends up.

But when cheerleaders know where the camera is positioned, this is the type of gorgeous picture they can get! Everybody has a pretty face they put on before taking a pic, and these six stunners from the Oregon Ducks make for quite the photogenic bunch.

The High of Sports

Judging by the expression on these faces, you'd assume these girls have consumed some kind of powerful illicit drug. But they're actually as sober as a judge, at least if you count being overly excited about sports as being sober!

Proving that sports and friendship are the ultimate high, these college cheerleaders are making sure their favorite team doesn't lack sideline support. They're doing their job so well that we'd go as far as to say it's too much. Teenage hormones may have also played a big part in the making of this picture.

It's Good For the Midriff!

Cheerleaders are known for many things, but we feel some people have the habit of mentioning their looks before talking about their crazy athletic skills. But have you ever thought that the reason most cheerleaders look great is that they're cheerleaders in the first place?

The midriff is the area in front of the body between the chest and the waist, usually exposed through crop tops or other revealing garments. And boy, do these cheerleaders know how to rock these tops! If you want to have a midriff like that too, just make sure you never miss cheerleading practice.

From Hero to Zero

If you love football, you probably remember this uncanny 2012 moment. The former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez got himself involved in a pickle and ended being butt-tackled on live television. The moment, which made headlines all over the web, is still known today as the "b*tt fumble."

The second-quarter fumble in November 2012 was the play that got Sanchez the most criticism because he ran toward the backside of lineman Brandon Moore. With all that is behind him, the retired footballer Sanchez joined The Masked Singer's fourth season and performed as the Baby Alien in 2020.

Win as a Team, Lose as a Team

In sports, we tend to assume there are only two teams on the pitch. But that's just wrong. If you consider the referees' section, the technical team, or the staff unit, you may realize there are all sorts of people working very hard to bring you exciting sports entertainment.

Supporting from the sidelines, the cheerleaders are yet another team adding up to the game's excitement. But the first thing about teams is that they win and lose together. This picture would make for some poetic teambuilding metaphor if it weren't so utterly funny.

Smuggling Cheerleaders

Now this one's a shocker! This cheerleader is so tiny she's being smuggled across the country just so her teammates don't have to pay for her ticket. If you ask us, we think she deserves a little bit more respect.

Jokes aside, this makes for a fun cheerleading moment. The best part of traveling to support your favorite team is that you get to spend time with your friends and go through some hilarious experiences in the process. We do hope she got there voluntarily, though. She does seem to be amused about the whole situation.

There's Enough Arm To Match The Charm

In life and sports, we are all different in our own way. We have no doubt these two lovely girls are equally talented cheerleaders, but only one of them looks like she could give Mike Tyson a hard time in an arm-wrestling competition.

While cheerleader number one looks like she needs to eat more carbs, cheerleader number two boasts the type of biceps we're used to seeing in bodybuilding competitions. We guess it isn't hard to find out which one of them is doing the hard work of being at the bottom of the pyramid.

Words Vs Actions

Sports executives work very hard to build a competitive team with whatever resources they have. Still, every football purist out there knows that the real men and women who make the game great are the players and the fans. And while sports execs like to do the talking, it's the athletes who do all the action.

In a nutshell, that's what this infamous picture is all about. Patrick Sullivan, General Manager of New England Patriots, talked trash about the opposite team, particularly Howie Long. It backfired since he got punched by Matt Millen, former Los Angeles Raiders linebacker, after the 1985 divisional-round playoff match.

This Is Not A Commercial Shoot, Clay!

Here's Clay Matthews, a former Green Bay Packers' outside linebacker whose reputation needs to be revisited. After all, while we all know he's a talented athlete, we feel like he's not getting enough praise for having the NFL's most fabulous hair.

Matthews is doing his best Jennifer Lopez impersonation in this well-timed snap and looks like he's about to star in a shampoo commercial. Now a free agent, Matthews is looking for a new team ever since he left the Los Angeles Rams in 2019. But with tresses this amazing, we think he should try to make it into heavy metal! Can you imagine him doing all that headbanging?

It's Meant To Be

People say you never get to choose your parents, and that's true. But here's another decision you're not always entitled to make: picking out your favorite football team. For this future baby, destiny is already written. He's going to be a Las Vegas Raiders fan whether he likes it or not!

The mom is a superfan of the NFL franchise, and she's making sure her offspring is never going to root for the rival team. She is using her unborn child as a lucky charm, and we hope it works soon enough. After all, the Las Vegas Raiders haven't won a championship since the long-gone year of 1984.

Upside Down

Football is a hazardous sport, and there are many short-term and long-term injuries troubling current and former athletes. Even though players do wear protection, they're still subjected to some real dangers while representing their team on the pitch.

One of such is getting your teeth knocked out. It doesn't matter if you're wearing a helmet or if you've got golden teeth. When football happens, collisions happen as well. And boy, does it look painful to get hit in the mouth by your opponent's foot! Just ask Matt Elam, who was playing for Baltimore Ravens at the time.

That's a Bit Too Close, Don't You Think?

Violence in sports is simply unacceptable, but there are always one or two heated moments in a basketball match. And when two opponents feel like punching one another, containing their emotions can be extremely hard! Fortunately, the referees and teammates are always there to intervene.

Still, it only takes a well-timed snap to change perspective completely. Are these refs trying to prevent these players from fighting, or are they just waiting for them to kiss? This 2017 incident was between Tristan Thompson, then playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, and David West, with the Golden State Warriors.

Is That a Soccer Mutant?

For a game that's supposed to be played using only your feet, that's a lot of hands! This soccer mutant is getting an unfair advantage on the pitch simply because his opponents are too scared to even tackle him. He looks like the real-life version of Doctor Octopus, the Spider-Man villain who boasts telepathically-controlled tentacles.

But don't worry, this is nothing but a well-timed snap. The player in the picture is the Brazilian winger Willian, a man with two talented feet and, to our disappointment, not more than just two arms.

Momentarily Blind

Even with all the tactical and technical complexities of tennis, we never expected hairstyles to play a part. But it looks like having the proper hairdo can actually make the difference between winning a tennis match and losing a set.

The locks of this athlete got in the way and made her momentarily blind. And in case you're wondering, yes, being able to see does make a huge difference when you're playing sports! Fortunately, this resulted from an exceptionally well-timed snap, and we believe this woman will not need to chop her tresses off to become a tennis champion.

A Cold, Stiff Hug

Soccer has a bad rep in America, mainly because many fans feel like there aren't enough goals in the game. But while some soccer matches end up 0-0, the misses in soccer can be almost as exciting as the goals. And this image says it all!

In a game against the Italian Serie A team Lazio, an unlucky Juventus forward missed what feels like an easy goal and was left embracing the goalpost in sorrow and disgrace. On the other side of the emotional spectrum, Lazio keeper and defender Abdoulay Konko cannot help but celebrate with his teammate.

Four Shades of Eli Manning

Eli Manning is an NFL superstar whose skills on the pitch is extraordinary. However, it cannot be compared to his impressive catalog of meme-worthy facial expressions. They are so funny that the sports blog SBNation even published a hilarious article compiling the very best!

In the piece, they mentioned Manning's "dazed and confused," "grossed out," "hair-fixing," and even "thinkin' bout BBQ" faces. As for us, we decided to highlight these four: there's the open-mouthed Manning, the "desperately appealing to the ref" Manning, the eye-rolling-turns-into-zombie-face Manning, and the classic "has somebody farted?" Manning gaze. If this guy weren't so good at football, he would make for a great actor!

We Dare You To Try To Look Cooler!

Yes, we've presented you with all sorts of awkward sports photos today. You've seen some of your favorite athletes looking like absolute dummies, and you laughed about it. But now, it's time to show you that photographers with perfect timing don't always make athletes look bad. Sometimes, they make them look utterly cool!

Let's take a minute to admire Gaël Monfils' indisputable stylishness. A top-class tennis player from France, he's wowing the crowd with his mid-air, through-the-legs tennis skills, and there's no way you're not thinking, "He's the man!" when you take a look at this wonderful pic.

A Misinterpretation of Happiness

Even something as seemingly familiar as human emotions can be interpreted in different ways. If we tell you this is a picture of tennis player Nicolas Devilder celebrating a point, you will look at his face and see a happy man.

But what if we tell you this is a picture of Nicolas Devilder right before he was killed by a descending burning plane? Now he looks scared, right? Fortunately, Devilder was never hit by a plane, and he's still remembered as one of the best French tennis players to have ever graced the game. Nonetheless, this image speaks volumes about the importance of knowing the proper context.
