Julie Walters – 71, Edgbaston

Nestling appropriately in a veritable rooster of British grand dames, Julie Walters has hustled her way to the top. With her breakout performance in the iconic Educating Rita to living it up in Mamma Mia, this celebrated superstar has been sweeping juicy roles and coveted awards for decades now.

An alarming diagnosis in 2018 resulted in Walters battling a life-threatening illness for 18 whole months before she finally triumphed. 2020's The Secret Garden offered another knockout performance from the industry great. Now back on her feet, we and her fans are thrilled to have Julie on-screen once again. Welcome back, ma'am!

Angela Lansbury - 95, London

There is no doubt that actress Angela Lansbury will forever be one of our favorite television stars, and it's hard to believe that this loveable woman is edging ever closer to being a century old!

Yet, the star of the series Murder She Wrote faced some backlash recently because of comments she made regarding allegations towards one-time producer Harvey Weinstein. Yet all media buzz aside, the determined and relentless Angela is still going strong. The veteran diva most recently got a role on Broadway in The Importance of Being Ernest to rave reviews in 2019.

Eileen Atkins - 87, Lower Clapton, London, United Kingdom

The world-class veteran British actress Eileen Atkins braved the industry's odds when her physique as a woman didn't match all the expectations placed on fellow actresses. In the face of this challenge, Atkins came out on top and has won several accolades and awards in her long acting career.

Being most popular as Queen Mary in "The Crown," and for her breakthrough movie "The Killing of Sister George," Atkins, who is almost 90 in 2021, has completed her autobiography "Will She Do?" And the memoir will undoubtedly serve as an inspiration to future actresses.

Jeremy Irons – 72, Cowes

Jeremy Irons rose to fame after starring in the commercially successful film The Lion King, playing the role of Scar, and he has since appeared in countless blockbusters like Justice League and Assassin's Creed. The star is undoubtedly among the greatest British actors and has over $16 million in his account to show for it.

When he's not acting, Irons is either in his garden, sailing or cruising around on his motorbike. The beneficial effect of all these outdoorsy and athletic activities show on the gifted actor's body; Irons doesn't seem to have aged a bit compared to his peers.

Anthony Hopkins - 83, Margam

When it comes to acting, Sir Anthony Hopkins has always had the world at his feet in awe of his skill. However, in his personal life, things have been a whole different story, and the fact that Anthony suffers from Asperger's syndrome has made maintaining personal relationships challenging.

A straightforward example of this is that Anthony has no relationship with his own daughter and probably never will. When asked if the A-lister is curious about any possible grandchildren, Sir Hopkins is known to quip that he does not care. Relationships or a lack thereof aside, the legendary actor has several upcoming projects, much to the delight of his fans.

Neil Dickson - 70, United Kingdom

The English actor Neil Dickson may be living in Los Angeles with his wife and children, but he was born in the U.K. and learned his trait by working in West End productions alongside greats such as Judi Dench and Sir John Gielgud. In the United States, he worked as a producer/additional crew member in blockbusters as popular as "Zach Snyder's Justice League," "X-Men: Days of Future Past," and David Lynch's "Inland Empire."

"Atwill at Large," "She-Wolf of London," and "Eragon" are some of Dickson's other best-known roles. In 2021, he appeared in "Operation Cordelia," "Scrambled," and "The Quantum Devil."

Jenny Seagrove - 64, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Jennifer Ann Seagrove is an accomplished British actress who first got everyone's attention in the early '80s playing the titular character in the series "Diana." She's gone on to have a full career acting in several films almost every year, up to date, including the 2021 comedy-drama "Off the Rails."

When she's not acting, she's fighting for the rights of the creatures who can't fight for themselves and, as a result, is vegetarian. We would take up whatever her diet plan is because the actress has, no doubt, aged well.

Miriam Margolyes - 80, Oxford, England

The British-Australian actress Miriam Margolyes is as active and non-conforming as though she were still a youth. There's just no stopping her from pursuing what she believes in, and she feels strongly about a couple of things that range from politics to human rights and physical orientation.

While deep into her golden years, Margolyes remains one of the greatest character actors of all time with a career that is still on the rise. In addition to her documentaries, she features as Sister Mildred in the ongoing "Call the Midwife" BBC series and "This Much is True" her personal memoir was published in September 2021.

Charles Dance - 74, Redditch

Actor Charles Dance came face to face with life's unpredictability at an early age when his father passed away. However, even this has not held the innately talented performer back in the years following that incident.

In fact, now in his mid-seventies, Charles is as in demand for his acting capabilities as he ever was, and let's be honest, we've all seen him as Tywin Lannister on Game of Thrones so we know Charles has got the chops. Plus, the esteemed Brit actor is not ready to retire yet, so we'll be seeing in plays and on-screen for quite some more time to come.

Perry Fenwick - 59, Essex

It's not every day that actors can say they portrayed the same character for over 2,000 episodes of a single show. But in 2021, the English performer Perry Fenwick hit that impressive landmark in "EastEnders," the soap opera that's been keeping him busy since 1998!

Before joining the cast of "EastEnders," Fenwick worked in productions such as "Watching," "Inspector Morse," "The Thin Blue Line," and "Bergerac." While sources such as IMDb claim that Fenwick was born in Wanstead, London, he's believed to be initially from Canning Town, Essex. He was married to the "Coronation Street" star Angela Lonsdale between 2005 and 2010.

Trevor Eve - 70, Sutton Coldfield

Younger audiences may know him as the father of the Star Trek Into Darkness star Alice Eve. But the fans of the 2000 detective series Waking the Dead will never forget Trevor Eve's remarkable performances in the show. With over 60 acting credits and a long career that started in 1974, Eve is now working on the Sky Original series A Discovery of Witches.

As a former Royal Academy of Dramatic Art drop-out, Eve never needed a diploma to show everyone how good an actor he is. Before landing his popular Waking the Dead role, Eve worked in A Sense of Guilt, David Copperfield, and the 1979 film Dracula.

Beverly Callard - 64, Morley, United Kingdom

The "Coronation Street" actress Beverly Callard is an acting prodigy who started her career at seven and is famous for her role as Liz McDonald. It has, unfortunately, become somewhat the norm for stars who start young to end up living with depression later on, and Callard was no exception. She battled through 2009 but got better.

Callard quit "Coronation Street" in 2020 after 30 long years of being on the show, which is longer than she has kept all three of her previous marriages! In 2021, at 60-plus, Callard is still on our screens featuring in a five-part reality series on the British TV network ITV with Jordan North called "Beverley & Jordan: Destination Wedding."

John Altman - 69, Reading

A Reading lad, the English actor/singer John Altman is known for his role as 'Nick Cotton' in "EastEnders" and for being the lead singer of the glam rock band "Heavy Metal Kids." He also starred in several big-screen productions, including "An American Werewolf in London," "My Lonely Me," and "Birth of the Beatles" (in which he portrayed the late George Harrison).

Years after making it to his final "EastEnders" episode, Altman remains a famous TV actor in the United Kingdom. In 2021, he was cast to play one of the main characters in the TV series "Unsinkable" and starred in the short "Looking for the Love of My Life."

Anne Reid - 85, Newcastle upon Tyne

For actress Anne Reid, her career has been a proud accomplishment. Not only has the Our Zoo star played in a myriad of films and stage productions, but she has done so without incurring any
kind of scandal since her 1957 debut!

Now, more than sixty years later, Anne still hasn't given up on acting, and there is also nothing to report when it comes to juicy gossip. All we can say is that there is no stopping this eighty-five-year-old powerhouse when it comes to being a talented lighthouse with a supremely sound moral structure.

Anne Stallybrass - 82, Westcliff-on-Sea

Anne Stallybrass has had a pretty successful career on her own steam, but it did help that she was married to actor Peter Gilmore. Why is that, you ask?

Well, the star of The Onedin Line, who is now in her early eighties, was the sole heir to her late husband's fortune, which came to well over a million pounds in value. So whether it's between all the money Anne made in for all the roles she played or the fact that she managed to inherit such a tremendous amount of cash from her former spouse, there is no doubt that Anne is living out her golden years in style.

Barbara Knox - 87, Oldham

Barbara Knox is one of Coronation Street's longest-serving cast members, and this had made her one of Britain's most beloved soap opera actresses. But other than that, there isn't much we can tell you about Barbara except that she likes to keep her private life very private.

The only time the now eighty-something-year-old really featured in the public eye was when she had a run-in with the law for driving under the influence! Of course, Barbara immediately conceded her mistake and got appropriately fined. Today we believe the small screen star has calmed down a lot since that sobering incident as she continues working.

Charles Shaughnessy - 66, London

While plenty of actors have a rollercoaster ride attempting to get to the top, Charles Shaughnessy doesn't fall into that category. In fact, Shaughnessy has the title of Lord and got his education at the prestigious Eton College. However, he would then follow the love of his life across the Atlantic to pursue a career in acting in the US.

It worked out well for Charles. He wed his sweetheart and occupied many a starring role, including the handsome Maxwell Scheffield in the hit sitcom The Nanny. Of course, Charles wasn't in his mid-sixties back then, but the still-working performer retains the same drive and ambition even today.

Christina Pickles - 86, Halifax

Despite being well into her eighties, and having rumors floating around that retirement is around the corner, we don't see any proof that backs up this claim about actress Christina Pickles.

For years Christina has delighted audiences on stages on both the big and small screen. We don't think there is any reason for the star of shows such as St. Elsewhere and even American sitcoms such as Friends to do anything else than what she is so poignantly good at doing. Plus, it's not like Pickles has any scandals that can hold her back, now is it?

Derek Jacobi - 82, Leytonstone

British actor Derek Jacobi has enjoyed a distinguished career in theatre, film, and television. However, his personal struggles weren't always the easiest to deal with over the years.

Take, for example, the fact that Derek had to wait more than thirty years before he could register his civil partnership with the love of his life Richard Clifford. Well, that's all behind him now, and Derek, who is in his early eighties, even gets to be a Grand Marshall at the annual New York City Pride Parade along with his close friend and actin colleague Sir Ian McKellen. How's that for a timeless star continuing to thrive?

Eileen Derbyshire - 89, Urmston

As the longest-serving cast member in the soap opera Coronation Street, actress Eileen Derbyshire has shone for more than five decades. However, this star, who is well on her way to being ninety, is also very musically talented and even graduated from the Royal Academy of Music!

Over the years, people have criticized Eileen for being reclusive. Still, her son thought it prudent to point out that his mom does her job for the love of acting and never to gloat or garner attention. We, for one, think as someone who has done such great work in entertainment, Eileen deserves to live out her retirement years in peace.

Elizabeth Rees-Williams - 85, Cardiff

For actress and socialite, Elizabeth Rees-Williams acting wasn't as important as living a glamorous lifestyle with numerous ex-husbands and stepchildren along the way.

During her time in the spotlight, Elizabeth only appeared in a few documentaries and other productions. As for these days, no one really knows what this former glamor girl is up to professionally. We suppose that being in your mid-eighties like Elizabeth is it's the perfect time to reflect on the life you've lived and spend time with all the people who are part of your extended family. Cheers to you, ma'am!

Glenda Jackson - 84, Birkenhead

What is there to say about actress and politician Glenda Jackson other than that, she is a national treasure. Her work in the entertainment industry has landed Jackson two Oscars, and she's lit fires under other British MP's during her time in the House of Parliament.

These days the octagenarian is taking things a bit slower while doing her best to keep the UK's art industry alive. Obviously, events such as the 2020 pandemic have made this more difficult, but we feel a lot better about the whole situation knowing that the voracious Glenda is involved!

Hugh Grant - 60, London

Although actor Hugh Grant had a reputation as a bit of a bad boy, it has been more than twenty years since his incident with a lady named Divine Brown on Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard.

Since then, Hugh has cleaned up his act and effortlessly continues gracing the silver screen with ever more enchanting roles. Now in his early sixties, one would think Hugh might consider taking a break. Still, from what we can gather, Hugh plans on being active in the entertainment industry for as long as audiences continue to adore the charismatic leading man's work.

Jacqueline Bisset – 76, Weybridge

Famous for her thrilling performances on numerous blockbuster films and television shows like Dancing on the Edge and The Deep, Jacqueline Bisset is a veteran actress and a legend in the business. Despite being in the limelight for close to six decades, the star isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

It seems Jacqueline has found the secret ingredient of graceful aging, as she doesn't look a day over fifty. While she uses minimal skincare products, she recommends being comfortable and content with who you are if you want to live longer. Not quite what we expected, but we must hand it to Bisset; the mantra works wonders!

Jessica Benton – 79, Hampstead

Jessica Benton is the epitome of growing old like a fine wine if her recent images are anything to go by. The famed The Onedin Line star wears her fine lines with pride every time she steps out or appears on television, making us wonder what her diet and fitness routine is like because it's something we'd all love to emulate.

The actress has made a name for herself in the industry, starring in several productions. Currently, Benton resides with her husband in Dorset with her family while also taking part in human rights and wildlife activism.

Jim Broadbent – 71, London

Widely considered among Britain's most loved actors, Jim Broadbent has achieved massive success in his long career spanning five decades, winning countless accolades in the process. The star has delivered flawless, thrilling performances over the years and remains charming as
ever, even in his seventies.

During his downtime, the veteran actor is either out golfing, gardening, cooking, or interestingly making wooden carvings in his workshop. We have no idea whether Jim goes to the gym or does any form of workout, but he looks pretty fit and is set to appear in an upcoming film, A Boy Called Christmas.

Joely Richardson – 56, Marylebone

Joely Richardson was born into a family of actors, with her mother a veteran actress and her dad, a film director, who all got the acting bug from their parents. It isn't surprising to see Richardson take up after her family and has so far done an impeccable job, appearing in several productions, including Nip/Tuck and Red Sparrow, with her performances receiving rave reviews.

The English star is still relatively young and has so much to offer the film industry. Joey seems to follow a strict diet and workout routine because how else can you explain her charming, fit, and beautiful self?

Judi Dench – 86, Heworth

Any avid fan of the James Bond movies would immediately recognize Judi Dench, who played the role of M, the no-nonsense boss, through which she achieved worldwide stardom. The actress has been a mainstay in Hollywood, with her career spanning over six decades, and is among the longest-serving performers on the planet.

Despite being in her eighties, Dame Judi doesn't seem to be slowing down and has recently picked up some work and is set to star in highly-anticipated upcoming films like Belfast. Now that's how you keep the flame burning well into your golden years, people!

Julie Andrews – 85, Surrey

From giving us energetic performances in The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins to charming our ears with her melodic voice on countless tunes during her eight decade-long, award-laden career, Julie Andrews is the epitome of success. The veteran actress has seen and experienced everything in Hollywood while effortlessly steering clear of everything that wasn't beautiful and life-affirming.

We wish this esteemed British icon nothing but peace and joy in her undoubtedly well-deserved retirement!
