You can almost tell that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is aware that someone is gasping at her toes. In 2016, during a visit to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial in New Delhi, she took her shoes off to show respect for the late peace ambassador, but... she forgot to have a pedicure or to pack some socks!

The result? A rather embarrassing fashion blunder in which Kate Middleton is showing she has the soul of a Queen and the feet of a commoner. Her toes have been getting all smooshed from wearing those high-end high-heel shoes, and we love how she’s not being perfect for once.

The Mishap That Got Everybody Talking

For a birthday, Meghan Markle decided to gift herself with a chic outfit and a classy hat. To be honest, she looked amazing. But she seems to have forgotten she’s no longer an actress from the TV series Suits... And that, as a Royal, she’s supposedly never allowed to show her underwear.

That’s why this now-famous picture got so many people talking. Markle fans said that the exposed lace was part of a camisole, while her critics said it was her bra. Either way, this shouldn’t be such a drama in this day and age. The mishap occurred during the wedding of Prince Harry’s longtime friend Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks’s wedding.

Princess Beatrice is the elder daughter of Andrew, Duke of York, and one of the few Royal Family ladies who gets a little bit of privacy from time to time. The fact she’s less well known than some of the other women in the Family may help to explain why a certain dress-mishap that occurred (almost) fell under the radar.

There are at least two things Princess Diana and female symbol, Marilyn Monroe, have in common: they both marked a generation of young girls, and they both got their dresses lifted by the wind.

Meeting the Queen is the dream of thousands, even millions of people. It’s like a moment of consecration: after years of hard work and success, you may get a chance to bow to the fabulous Elizabeth II. So, can you imagine how panicky it must be to make a mistake at that moment?

It happened to Yoshiki Hayashi, a Japanese musician, who was about to have a heart attack when she realized her scarf was getting in the way of Her Highness. Luckily, the Queen didn’t even see it, and this lady got away without a Royal reprimand. Everybody else noticed, though, and the crowd of fretful faces in this picture says it all. The mishap took place during The Royal Windsor Cup Final in Egham.

A Couple of Stains on The Queen’s Reputation

There are fashion blunders, and then there are fashion disasters. We dare to say this picture of the Queen falls under the second category. The leader of the Royal Family seems to have forgotten to put one or two napkins over her dress during dinner, and the result is quite nasty on the eye.

But hey, we’re talking about a lady who undertook the country in mid-World War II, back when she was little more than a teenager! If she got over that, she’s going to get over a couple of stains on her dress.

The Bag has the Last Word

The same night she was photographed in a stained dress, the Queen also suffered another fashion mishap. Her little bag was broken, and she was forced to act like it wasn’t, but the paparazzi, as always, immediately realized something was wrong.

It indeed was a disastrous night for the Queen, who typically doesn’t provide us with anything but class, elegance, and an old-fashioned respect for the Royal norms. She shouldn’t be getting rid of that purse, though: in the Royal Family, bags are used to send signals to the staff. When the Queen places her bag on the table, for instance, it means she wants the event to end in the next five minutes.

These Boots Are Made For Walkin’

You would guess Royal Family members don’t ever wear the same thing twice. But that’s not exactly true. Prince Harry seems to have found his favorite pair of shoes, and he’s not letting go of them for anything! We get it: these Oxford-style shoes, characterized by their closed lacing, will never go out of fashion. But can’t Harry simply get a new pair?

The vigilant paparazzi were able to capture the bottom part of his shoes, only to reveal a nasty crack in the sole. It seems that, after this fashion blunder, the poor Prince Harry will be forced to get a new pair. To be fair, it’s not like he doesn’t have the money to get a closet full of these.

A Lot of Leg

The ladies in the Royal Family keep getting attacked by the elements. The nasty wind is the main culprit, but Meghan Markle can also complain about the sun. During a 16-day tour through the South Pacific, she caused a sensation after meeting fans with a somewhat transparent Givenchy skirt.

Light can behave in unpredictable ways, and we’re pretty sure nobody in Meghan’s PR department knew this was going to happen beforehand. Luckily, the transparency is relatively subtle, and all we get to see from Meghan is a little bit of extra leg.

Anti-Paparazzi Purse

At first glance, it looks like a regular black purse. But it also played an essential role in protecting the late Princess Diana from the ruthless paparazzi. You see, photographers aren’t always nice people, and most of them will try to take a revealing picture of the Royal ladies anytime they’re getting out of their car while any cleavage is on show.

To avoid being exposed like that, Princess Diana and the Royal ladies of generations to come are taught to use their bags as a “protecting” tool. That’s why most Royal ladies don’t even sport cleavage nowadays.

Attention to detail is the least we expect from the Royal Family, but Meghan Markle seems to have been distracted by her tiniest fans at this point. Happily greeting a group of British children during a Royal visit to Birmingham, she probably left the castle in a hurry and didn’t check her coat.

Unexpectedly, this occasion resulted in a lot of people buying that very same coat! This type of stitch is the X-shaped tacking stitch, and it’s used to keep the coat’s vent together, but you are supposed to remove the stitch after purchase for better ease of movement.

Not Again, Kate!

With the time Kate got her shoe stuck in a grate still fresh in our memory, we cannot avoid but scream “watch out!” when looking at this picture. Even the men in the photo, who happily await the Princess seem to be aware of the imminent danger. It all happened during Kate’s visit to a newly-opened addiction treatment center in Wickford, in 2018.

Unlike Kate herself, they’re watching the Princess’s steps with respectful but concerned interest. Luckily, Kate got herself out of this one without losing any of her priceless haute couture shoes. Even the general was watching this “mano a mano” between Kate and the drain as closely as possible!

We Would’ve Made the Same Mistake

This high-end fashion fail involves a purple-silk crepe Gucci shirt that Kate decided to wear to visit the Henry Fawcett Children’s Center in London. And isn’t she looking fabulous? We also think so. But, as it turns out, she’s wearing that shirt completely wrong. The fashion world is a hard one to follow in this day and age, and not even a woman of Kate Middleton’s status seems to have caught up to every latest trend.

Yes, this shirt is supposed to be worn the other way around, with the buttons in the back, but Kate didn’t get it. We would’ve made the same mistake, so we’re not criticizing. Let’s call it a fashion blunder of the upmost expert level.

The Sash That Keeps Slipping Away

Living more than 2,500 miles away from the United Kingdom, Queen Rania of Jordan is a bonafide Royal, setting some of the covetable fashion trends in Western Asia. But not even a woman as elegant and classy as Rania is fully capable of avoiding the occasional fashion faux pas.

Showing that even Kings and Queens need to use some handy safety pins every now and then, Queen Rania struggled and fussed about keeping her sash stable over her shoulders during a TV appearance. She still looks absolutely stunning, though.

It seems that no matter where we are, the Royal ladies will not get along with the wind. This time, it was Queen Máxima of the Netherlands who struggled to keep her legs concealed during a windy day’s military parade.

Pulling yet another Marilyn Monroe-type of stunt, Queen Máxima is trying not to panic as she realized she’s showing more skin than she should. Luckily, Máxima seems to have been working out, as she has great legs for a 49-years-old! These sorts of “windy” mishaps continue to happen to the Royal ladies, even though they usually wear bodysuits and dresses with plenty of static, specifically designed to avoid such an accident.

Is Meghan Renting?

We don’t actually expect any of the ladies in the Royal Family to rent their dresses, but that’s the only explanation we can find for this Meghan Markle fail. Wearing a beautiful red dress, she accidentally revealed a tag while walking down some stairs... But why?

Did she forget to remove the tag? Or is she planning on getting the dress back to the store afterward? We’re pretty sure the Royal Family budget is fully able to cover for this kind of expense, but we have to wonder if Meghan got the memo.

Belts are for Plebs

Taking a break from her high-end luxury dresses, a casual-looking Kate Middleton decided to join a sports event wearing jeans and a striped shirt. But she forgot something: a belt. No longer accustomed to plebian clothes, Kate seems to have forgotten that jeans, like all things, are also subject to gravity.

While this fashion blunder was the origin of some unflattering pictures, it does show that Kate is doing wonders to keep her slim figure under control. It mustn’t be easy to keep that supermodel-like waist with so much delicious Royal food around.
